Discussion with Greek Ambassador Accompanied by the Minister of Expatriate Welfare

Greek Ambassador Aliki Cosmoteplou was accorded a courtesy call with Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Shafiul Rahman Chowdhury in Delhi.

The meeting took place on Monday (July 1) afternoon at the office of the Minister of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment.

Bangladesh and Greece are working towards ensuring security and maximum benefits for Bangladeshi expatriates in Greece, a priority of the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment. In order to maintain the friendly relations between these two countries, the Greek Ambassador was appointed to Delhi for a courtesy call with the Minister of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment.

During the meeting, besides discussing bilateral interests, including economic advancement in Bangladesh, there were discussions on various topics of mutual interest.

There is a possibility of convening a joint working group meeting between the two countries soon, as mentioned in a press release, to further strengthen bilateral relations.

In this regard, it is hoped that sending skilled personnel to Greece will further strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries, said Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Shafiul Rahman Chowdhury.
