Declaration of final results of 512 seats, how many seats did BJP-Congress get?
In India's Lok Sabha elections, the final results of all 512 seats were declared by Tuesday night, according to Bangladesh Standard Time. According to the results published on the website of the Election Commission of India, so far, the powerless party BJP has won in 233 seats. Congress has won in 90 seats.
According to the information on the website, the Socialist Party (SP) has won in 36 seats. Trinamool Congress, led by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, has won 29 seats. Janata Dal (United) 12, DMK 17, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) 13, Shiv Sena (Founder) 8, Shiv Sena (SHS) 7, and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) have won in 5 seats each.
It is now certain from the results obtained so far that BJP is not able to come to power alone. To form a government among the total 543 seats in the Lok Sabha, 272 seats are required. Even though BJP is ahead in the seats it has won, the number of seats is less than required.
In this regard, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has claimed victory for his coalition by giving a speech. Speaking from the BJP headquarters in Delhi on Tuesday (June 4th), the Prime Minister of India said, "Our NDA coalition will form the government again." He said, "I am very, very happy today."
Narendra Modi said, "Today's victory is the biggest victory in the world. This victory belongs to the Indians." Thanking the party workers, he said, "I have been doing good work for the last decade to fulfill the aspirations of the people, and I will continue to do so in the future."
On the other hand, leaders of the India United Front have also spoken about forming the government. At a press conference on Tuesday evening, when asked about this, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did not rule out the possibility of forming a government. In response to a journalist's question, Rahul said, "India United Front will hold an emergency meeting on Wednesday (June 5th). The issue will be discussed there."
BJP's two ally parties, Janata Dal (United) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP), are close to 30 seats. If BJP fails to get a simple majority, it will try to convince these two parties to come closer.
