India Loses 3 Wickets for 58 Runs

India suffered a setback against arch-rivals Pakistan, losing 3 wickets for 58 runs. After Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma fell cheaply at 19 runs, Rishabh Pant partnered with Axar Patel to build a 39-run partnership in 30 balls. However, Nasim Shah broke this partnership by dismissing Axar Patel, clean bowled, after his quickfire 20 runs off 18 balls.

India found themselves in trouble after losing the toss and opting to bat first. Former and current captains Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's wickets early in the innings have added pressure on India.

Rain proved to be a blessing for Pakistan, as their bowlers capitalized on the moisture in the outfield.

Before the start of the India-Pakistan match, there was a brief rain delay. After the rain delay, another shower halted play just when the game was about to begin.

In the second over of the innings, Virat Kohli, former Indian captain, was caught by Usman Khan off Nasim Shah's delivery. His departure marked the first wicket loss for India at 1.3 overs with 12 runs on the board.

At 2.4 overs, current Indian captain Rohit Sharma was caught by Harris Rauf off Shaheen Shah Afridi's bowling. With his dismissal, the champions of the 2007 T20 World Cup lost their second wicket at 19 runs.

The high-voltage match of the T20 World Cup's ninth edition is being held at the Nassau Cricket Stadium in New York.

Before this match, India began their World Cup mission with an easy win against Ireland. On the other hand, the Pakistan cricket team is reeling from their defeat against the United States.

India needs to maintain their winning streak, while Pakistan aims to turn the tide in their favor today. Meanwhile, there has been one change in Pakistan's lineup from the US match. Azam Khan has been dropped from the playing eleven, and spinning all-rounder Imad Wasim has taken his place.
