David Beckham Calls for Ceasefire in Gaza

English football star David Beckham has called for a ceasefire to end Israel's aggression in Gaza. He made this appeal in a post shared on his Instagram account.

The 49-year-old Beckham reposted a statement from UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) on his Instagram story, urging for a ceasefire.

Beckham supported the words of UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell, condemning the ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza and the escalating atrocities in Rafah.

The statement highlighted a deadly attack on Sunday in a displaced persons camp in the Tal al-Sultan area, northwest of Rafah, which killed at least 45 civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.

Many people were burned to death by fires started by Israeli bombings in the tents where they had taken shelter. Hundreds of civilians were injured in the attack, leading to widespread condemnation globally.

According to Gaza's health ministry, Israel's attacks have completely destroyed the Gaza Strip, resulting in at least 36,096 deaths.

Beckham, who has served as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2005, had not previously commented on the Gaza conflict.
