Ending Western Support for Israel Will Halt Palestinian Tragedy: Iran
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, has criticized the unwavering support of the United States and Europe for Israel. He asserted that halting Western support for Israel would end the tragic events in Palestinian territories.
Kanaani made these remarks on social media platform X, quoting EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, as reported by Tasnim News.
Kanaani highlighted the recurring violence reported from Gaza, where the suffering of millions of innocent Palestinian civilians remains a harsh reality. He emphasized that this dire situation must be independently investigated, in line with the International Court of Justice's orders.
He condemned the Israeli brutality and indiscriminate killings of Palestinian civilians, particularly women and children, as blatant and severe crimes. He expressed deep disappointment and highlighted that the atrocities against Palestinians are carried out with the support of the US and Europe. According to Kanaani, ending this support is essential to resolving the conflict.
Earlier on Friday, influential cleric Ayatollah Kazem Seddiqi, during a sermon in Tehran, discussed various aspects of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation. He stated that this operation has disrupted plans to normalize relations between certain countries and the occupying state of Israel, and that these relations will never return to their previous state.
Seddiqi further remarked that the Al-Aqsa Flood operation by Palestinians has dealt an irreparable blow to the so-called liberal democracy of the West and the existence of the Zionist state. Western analysts, he noted, are also acknowledging that Zionism is dissolving and disappearing.
