Remove 'Modi Ka Parivar' from Social Media, PM Modi Urges Followers
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently thanked the nation for their overwhelming support to the BJP and NDA alliance in the Lok Sabha elections. During this time, he requested his supporters to remove the 'Modi Ka Parivar' slogan from their social media profiles.
The 'Modi Ka Parivar' slogan was introduced by Modi during the election campaign in March.
India Today reported on Tuesday (June 11) that in a message on microblogging site X, Modi said, "During the election campaign, people of India showed their love for me by adding 'Modi Ka Parivar' to their social media profiles.
"I drew great strength from this. The people of India have given NDA a majority for the third consecutive time. This is a record. They have given us the opportunity to continue working for the country's development," Modi added.
Modi further stated, "The message that we are all 'one family' has been effectively communicated. I again thank the people of India and request that you can now remove 'Modi Ka Parivar' from your social media profiles. You may write something else, but our bond will remain strong."
Earlier in March this year, during a public meeting in Adilabad, Telangana, Modi coined the slogan 'Modi Ka Parivar' in response to a comment by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, who remarked that the Prime Minister had no family of his own.
Following Modi's announcement, top BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda, along with people across the country, added the 'Modi Ka Parivar' slogan to their profiles.
