Mbappé Finally Joins Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappé, one of the brightest stars in football, has finally fulfilled his childhood dream by joining Real Madrid. This move marks the end of Mbappé's chapter with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

On Monday night, June 3, Real Madrid confirmed the arrival of the French superstar on their official Facebook page.

Mbappé had announced his decision to leave PSG last month. Despite the French club's efforts to retain their all-time top scorer, they ultimately failed. With his contract expired, PSG had no choice but to let Mbappé go for free, causing displeasure among the club's Qatari owners, including Nasser Al-Khelaifi. There have even been allegations that PSG withheld Mbappé's salary and bonuses.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed on Sunday, June 2, that Mbappé had decided to join Real Madrid as early as February. Since then, the transfer process has been gradually completed. Romano reported that Mbappé had finalized all formalities with Real Madrid and that an official announcement of his joining the club would come within the week.

The announcement came sooner than expected, with Real Madrid officially confirming Mbappé's signing tonight.

Earlier today, Mbappé had publicly disclosed his move during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Mbappé joined PSG from another French club, Monaco, in 2017. The following year, PSG officially signed him. However, rumors of Mbappé moving to Real Madrid began soon after. In the summer of 2022, he was on the brink of joining Real Madrid, but a record-breaking offer and intervention from the French President saw him stay at PSG.

At the beginning of this season, rumors of Mbappé's transfer resurfaced. His refusal to sign a new contract with PSG led to his exclusion from the pre-season squad. Later, with intervention from coach Luis Enrique, Mbappé agreed to stay for another season in Paris. However, he ultimately did not honor this agreement.

Mbappé leaves PSG as the club's all-time top scorer, with 256 goals and 108 assists in 308 appearances. He has won the Ligue 1 title seven times, the French Cup four times, the League Cup twice, and the French Super Cup three times.
