Another Bangladeshi dies at Hajj
Mohammad Shajahan (48), another Bangladeshi, has died while performing the holy Hajj earlier this year. He lived in Kadamtali, Dhaka. He died on Saturday (May 25). With this, a total of six Hajj pilgrims have passed away.
On Sunday (May 26), the Ministry of Religious Affairs' Hajj Management Portal's Pilgrims Death News reported this information.
According to Pilgrim sources, the first to die this year on Hajj was Kendua's Mohammad Asaduzzaman (57) on May 15, followed by Bhola Sadar's Mohammad Mostafa (89) on May 18, Nageshwari's Mohammad Lutfor Rahman (65) from Kurigram on May 21, Mohammad Murtajur Rahman Khan (65) from Nawabganj, Dhaka on May 23, and Mohammad Idris (64) from Fatehpur, Chattogram also on May 23.
According to Saudi Arabian law, if a person dies while performing Hajj, their body is buried in Saudi Arabia. The body is not allowed to be transported back to their home country. Even the family members' objections are not accepted.
